About this piece

Almost all citrine on the world market is amethyst that has been heated until the iron colour centres shift from purple to yellow-orange. Naturally yellow quartz of good colour exists but is genuinely uncommon, and it is not what most citrine jewellery contains. This stone is heat-treated quartz and is declared as such rather than sold on an assumption. The colour is stable in ordinary wear.

First shop I have found that admits most citrine is heated amethyst instead of pretending otherwise. Bought it for that reason as much as the stone.
